Essential Camping Gear, Tools and Equipment
Tent – Of course, but what tent to buy
There are several different tents available and it also depends on how many people you are. If you want to have some space in the tent and don’t want to squeeze shoulder to shoulder I would recommend :
For 2 people : a 4 people tent and for 4 people : a 8 person tent
Dome tents are usually the easiest to set up, unless you are taking a Pop Up Tent
Air Mattress & Pillow
Believe me an Air Mattress is a very essential thing if you want to “comfy” sleep and don’t want to feel the rocks or sand underneath. Most of the Air Mattresses have an integrated pump nowadays or are self inflating. Below you can check out some options:
TIP: Put a bed sheet or banket under the mattress, so it will not move once you turn during the night
Sleeping Bag
You should choose your sleeping bag depending on where you are going and the expected temperatures .
Personally, for Camping I like sleeping bags which open completely, so I can use them as a banket as well.
Cambing Table & Camping Chairs
Sometimes 2 tables are required as you will probably use 1 already for preparing and settign up the food and drinks
Cooler
There are different sizes of Camping Coolers. Most of the time, even with 2 people only, we need 2 coolers . One for food and one for drinks & ice, especially in the summer .
BBQ Grill & Equipment
We always take a foldable BBQ with us , as it is easier to grill on it than on open fire.
Waterproof Lighter
I think its one of my best camping accessories, even if it gets wet , its still working .
First AID KIT
A small First Aid Kit it is always a must when you go for camping. At least if someone falls, gets cut or bites you are prepared
Headlamp & Flashlight
Each person should have at least a flash light, even if they just need it to go to the bathroom or looking for something inside the tent. I personally prefer the headlights has you have the hands free, and if you will be the one doing the BBQ in the dark, believe me you want a headlight
Water Purifier
If you are just going for camping for 1 day and you have enough water with you, this might not really necessary, but if you are planning a camping trip for a couple days, a water purifier is a good camping accessory. Even if I go camping for 1 night, i take a bottle with integrated filter with me.

Need some hote water or want to prepare soem nice eggs in the morning .. don’t forget the Camping Stove

Backpacker or Camping Cooking Utensils like pots, pan , kettle, cups, cutlery ,…
Multifunction Dish Tub
Perfect to clean some dishes or even to use it as a cutting board
Multi – Tool
You never know for what you might need it, but something always comes up, and even if its just to open a can

There are so many options of mosquito repellent, candles , sticks , bracelets, sheets, spray and much more. In certain camping areas its definitely a Must Camping Accessory
Solar Charger
Phone, headlights, flash light and so on, most of them can nowadays all be charged with a power bank
Portable Shower
Who doesn’t want to have a nice shower after a long walk/ hike or even after a warm day
Camping Hammock
No necessary but definitely a good choice to have. Perfect for a relaxing day.
Solar Lantern
Lights or solar lantern are a good choice to have on the camp ground .
Pop Up Changing Room
You can use it for a lot of different things , changing , shower and even toilet
